A Popular Human Rights activist and one-time Presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has on Thursday claimed that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) can be killed by the Muhammadu Buhari administration.
Sowore who said this via a post on his verified Facebook page, linked his fear to “Buhari’s arrogance”.
“Muhammadu Buhari’s arrogance over the kidnap and subsequent detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is palpable from his interview on Channels Television! We must ensure Kanu is freed before Muhammadu Buhari murders him! #FreeNnamdiKanu,” Sowore wrote.
Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has been under illegal detention, facing baseless charges bordering on treasonable felony levelled against him by The Federal Government of Nigeria. The Self-determination leader is presently in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).
A federal high court sitting in Abuja has adjourned his trial countless of time holding his next hearing on January 18.
Kanu was abducted abroad and returned to Nigeria without legal proceedings
